I'm Alive!!!

Last Tuesday my girls and I left for girls camp at Kolob Mountain. We spent 5 fun filled days along with our ward, and the rest of the wards in our stake. Among smoke from the fire on the other side of the ravine and the dust and the heat we actually had a great time. Our ward was the Dairy Queens since the Stake theme was C.O.W. Count our Worth! My sisters ward was the Cowgirls. We looked forward to the cheers and skits of the other wards, plus we had so much fun creating our own too! I believe us leaders averaged 5 to 6 hours of sleep every night. By the time we got the girls settled down for bed, the leaders were wound up talking and giggling that the girls were hushing us! Even though I am not in Young Women's, I went to make sure all was well with Brooke's diabetes. I know she is getting older, but honestly...I would never forgive myself if anything ever happened to her and I wasn't around to help. This is why I signed up as a chaperon for the back east trip next year. She will be gone for 2 weeks and I'm not ready to leave her alone for that long without anyone else knowing how to handle and help out with her diabetes. Anyhow we had a fun time getting to know not only the girls in our ward better...but with the girls in our stake as well. Brooke was a 3rd year at camp and Carli was such a cute 1st year. Ah, the memories I have from my time at girls camp. Can it really be that long ago?

You know he only wants to play with your toy guns :) I will call you, we might be over there next friday. We'd love to see you and catch up. That is so fun that you got to tag along to girls camp with your girl. I bet Carli loved it! That's a special time for your girls, I'm so glad you got to experience it with them. We'll see you soon.
