Cody James Robbins was born on September 25, 1992. He has brought so much joy in our lives that it is near impossible to think of him not being a part of our family. Everyone tells us how quiet he is, but within the privacy of our home he is hysterical. The following are a few things that describes this awesome son of ours.
1. Cody has a very sweet and caring heart - whoever captures his heart will feel like they have won the lottery in love. Definitely a romantic!
2. He is very quiet - he has never felt the need or wanted to be the center of attention. He is so quite at times that I have locked him in the house several times thinking he was already outside with the rest of the kids in the car.
3. That humor of his is unpredictable - it will be quiet at home or a lull at the dinner table and he will just say something that will have us in stitches! He is very quick witted.
4. He is very protective - both with family and close friends. He hates to see someone upset or hurt, it is almost as if he can actually feel their pain for himself.
5. Stubbornness is one of his strong suits - once he is determined to do something he will move heaven and earth to accomplish it. Also, if his mind is set he will not budge.
6. He loves to read - he can actually bury himself in a book that it will be hours before he emerges from his room. Church books, adventure books, you name it, he will read it.
7. Loves to show off his abs - he is so proud of his six pack that he is not shy about showing it off.
8. Loves to eat - if you can believe it, he can actually out eat Lonney and Justin. He constantly is eating and is never full. For him being so skinny you wouldn't have guessed about his eating habits.
9. He has a love for the gospel - he has become well versed in the scriptures and he is doing quite well learning the scripture mastery's in seminary. It is heartwarming to catch him saying his personal prayers at night before he gets into bed.
10. Cody can sing - he is so quiet that you have to strain your ears to hear him, but he can definitely carry a tune. When he goofs around he can bring his voice down really low.
11. He plays all kinds of sports - he does really well with soccer, basketball, baseball, golf and whatever else he tries. He has played for many years for the rec. center growing up and has played basketball and golf for high school.
12. He wants to be a mechanic - He has worked for his dad in the past and his dream is to take over his dad's company when he gets back from his mission. Of course his favorite class at school is auto shop.
13. He comes up with coded words to describe things - there are so many that it is hard to keep up with them. He has even gone as far as giving coded names to the girls that he likes so he can talk to Brooke or his friends without me knowing her real name!
14. He loves to hunt - even if he doesn't have a tag, he loves to scout out the hunting area. He is so proud of the big buck he killed a couple years ago that it is hanging up in our family room.
15. Cody loves to tease - especially his brother and sisters. It is never in a mean way though.
16. He can play the guitar - he has been taking lessons the past couple of months and really enjoys playing.
17. He is 6'1" and still growing - he already wears a size 13 shoe! He loves to compare his height to others. And he is in deep hope that he will be taller then his older brother, Justin, who is already at 6'2 1/2".
There are just too many things I could list about this wonderful young man. We love Cody so much and are very blessed to have him as our son. Happy Birthday Code man! Hmmm, having an epiphany just now, we have always called him code man since he was really little and now he is code wording almost everything. Coincidence? I think not! Love ya Cody!

I can't believe he is 17 already. Where does time go. Happy bday Cody! We love ya.
