Happy 15th Birthday Brooke...

Brooke has been our little joy since she was born. After having two boys, it was heaven to have this amazing daughter of God in our family. She single-handedly captured her brothers hearts. Even though the boys are older than her, she doesn't have any problems holding her own ground. Here are a few things that we love about this special girl of ours.

* she is always happy - she is the most upbeat, happy person who is always smiling. On rare occasions is she ever moody, and even that doesn't last long.

* Brooke loves to tease - she loves to joke around and tease and she takes it well when the tables are turned on her.

* she loves little children and babies - she is always finding someones baby or child to hold or play with. She is really good with her cousins and loves being around them. She has become quite the babysitter.

* the girl can text - her fingers move so fast, that it is hard to guess what she is typing. She texts everywhere, anytime, anyone.

* Brooke has a heart of gold - she is very generous to others and deeply cares for the welfare of others.

* she is such a girly girl - she is right in there with making sure her hair and make up are just right (heaven forbid she go anywhere without make-up!), her clothes being from only certain stores, and you would think that being that way would make her stuck up, but she is the most down to earth girl. She even runs like a girl, arms bent at the elbow, palms face out, and rotating as she does a jog/shuffle.

* she is well rounded - even though she is a girly girl, she can be a tomboy at times as well. She goes fishing, and right now has a hunting tag for deer. She is determined to not only get a bigger buck than everyone elses, but to do it in heels! It would be a surprise if she didn't have make-up on when she gets her first kill.

* she is very active - she has done ballet/tap, gymnastics, played soccer, basketball,and baseball. Currently, she has a private coach that is helping her with tumbling which she loves! She has also started running at night...by a certain boy's house I am guessing.

* she is talented - she has played piano for years and just recently stopped to focus on her voice. She has been taking voice lessons for a few years now and loves it. She has a really good voice.

* the girl is smart - she takes all honor classes and gets really good grades. She is really loving High school this year as a freshman.

* she has a love for the gospel - it has been fun watching her gain more understanding and a deeper love for the scriptures this year as she began Seminary. She can hardly wait for the back east trip scheduled for the beginning of summer. It is a tour of the historical church sites traveling by bus for two weeks.

* she loves being around others - she looks forward to Sunday dinners at her grandparents house, hanging out with friends, hanging out with Cody's friends, being at Young Women's, even loves going to school to be around all those kids. She is very social.

* she is very organized - her pack back and folders are all in perfect order. Her side of the room is always clean and in order, however she does get after her little sister Carli for keeping her side messy. If she is bored, she will start cleaning out and organizing whatever she can get her hands on around the house.

* she is a perfect sister to her siblings - she is a good friend to each of them and helps them with whatever she can. However, her and Cody are the closest. She can get him to do just about anything when no one else can. They have the same group of friends so they are always talking and laughing.

* she is a very strong person - no matter what life throws at her, she shines through. The trials she has been given would make anyone complain and become miserable. Not Brooke, she just picks herself up, dust herself off, and keeps going. She is not one to feel sorry for herself. She is an amazing young women.

We feel very honored to have our precious Brooke in our eternal family. She is an inspiration and example to our family. I could go on and on about this beautiful and wonderful young lady. She is a big part of our family whom we would be lost without. We love you Brooke!
