Carli's basketball team is called the Pistons this year and she is having fun. That is to say until their 3rd. game of the season when they went up against the Angels. Let me tell ya, they were no angels! More like... Hell's Angels! In all the years that I have watched my kids play basketball for the Rec. center, I have never witnessed a more brutal team. Ever! These bunch of girls were committing intentional fouls and hurting our girls and the referees turned a blind eye to it the majority of the time. It was so blatant that the girls on this team would smile and high five each other after each foul. Then they would look up to their parents with these smug grins, and the parents cheered them on. What?!?! I really don't understand why their coach would encourage this type of game play. They were actually a really good team as far as them pressing and shooting, etc. they didn't need to be violent, and I'm not using that word lightly either. Anyways, Carli loves playing basketball and I really want her to keep that love for the game.
I would have loved to put up a thought bubble with the saying "I should have had a V8" But, I figured she would have been mad at that.
I just love watching her facial expressions as she is guarding and going after the ball. I would have had more pictures up but my shutter on my camera is sticking, so hence the blurry pictures. I just couldn't help not putting a picture up of her in action.
