One Sunday afternoon...

Recently, on a Sunday afternoon I received a call that said the Bishop wanted to have a meeting with me during the following week. I was at a loss for words (shocker huh?) and readily agreed. That is when I began to stew about what the meeting could be about. I was so stressed out about it that I called the secretary back reminding him that there are two other Sister Robbins in the ward. He laughed and said that he was well aware of that fact and that yes, I was the right Sister Robbins! Anyone who knows me can attest that I can't stand to have to wait for things. I guess that makes me an instant gratification kind of person, because I want it now! Christmas almost pushes me over the edge when I can't wait to see the kids faces when they open their gifts. Lonney is infamous for telling me that he has a surprise for me and that I have to wait for it! Anyways I'm making it sound like I was excited...to the contrary, I was an absolute mess by the time the meeting rolled around. I was so very nervous that I felt like I was going to throw up. I had sweaty palms and couldn't stop wringing my hands. When the words "Young Women's President" were said, I was both very excited and very nauseous at the same time! The whole process of fasting and praying and attending the Temple to find the women that are suppose to serve with me has been such an amazing Spiritual experience for me. My testimony has deepened greatly because of it. I feel so privileged to work with these amazingly strong women whom I know will do an outstanding job with these young women. My heart aches for these young women who will definitely miss their beloved leaders and try to adjust to their new leaders. I pray that they will quickly come to love us as well. I'm really excited to start this new adventure I have been blessed with!
