like Father, like Son

Nope, I'm not a kiddin!!! I really wish I were! I spent the middle of the night/wee hours of the morning in the emergency room with Justin because we thought for sure it was broken. Sooo glad that it wasn't, however the Dr. said that there was torn ligaments. They put him in a soft cast and said that a sprain is worse than a broken bone. He wants Justin to stay off it for a couple of weeks. Yeah...his work wasn't too happy about it when I called them. Are you ready to find out how it happened? It is a very typical teenager/boy accident. Justin and his cousin David were playing basketball at Grandma's house and decided to make the game more interesting by jumping on the trampoline to see if they could shoot from there...20 feet away. Justin didn't realize how close he was to the edge and threw all his weight onto his right leg to make a shot. As his foot broke 2 springs on the trampoline he said he could hear popping in his foot. Which dropped him like a rock and had him howling with pain. Mind you that when he had all four wisdom teeth pulled, he didn't take any narcotics at all. He took 4 advil when he got home and that was it for the rest of the healing process. Now last night however, he was begging for the drugs. That is why I thought for sure it was broken, because he was saying how bad the pain was. He says the crutches hurt his armpits, so being the inventive child that he is, he just sits on the computer chair and uses his good leg to push himself around the house. Lonney is sooo not going to be happy when he finds out that is how he has been getting around the kitchen on our hard wood floor!
