Much, much better...
Now these little guys I can handle. Tis the season for these little guys to come out of the woodwork. The Missionaries were over when we found this one and they thought it was pretty cool. For some reason they somehow or another get in the back door (the snakes, not the missionaries ;)). I'm not sure if it's when the door is left open, or if they are squeezing themselves in. However this one is really small compared to the rather bigger ones we get. Luckily it is only the little snakes that get in the back door. Years ago we had a big snake come in from the front door while we had company over. That was embarrassing! I would much rather have snakes than mice. When we find them in the house, we just pick them up and put them out in the garden. But if we see them outside, we just leave them alone. Just don't tell my mom-in-law, she seriously has a phobia of snakes. I have had the unfortunate experience to witness first hand her reaction to a snake in their house. It was sad, she was so stressed out and hysterically yelling and in tears, I felt so bad for her. I was truly grateful that my father-in-law came to the rescue to calm her. I picked up the snake to take it outside and he looked at me really strange for actually handling it. Like I said, these I will hold or pick up. I know, I know, I'm weird that way...I will even handle tarantulas but little spiders really freak me out...but that's another story.

May he/she live a good long snake life, eating bugs, and whatever else snakes like to do...like that flicky tongue thing. :)
ReplyDeleteWe have had them in our yard, but I haven't had one slip in the house yet...that might scare me.
ReplyDeleteYOUR FREAK'N CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNo, that is not better. gross, gross, gross. But now I know who else to call next time I have an icky one in my house.
ReplyDeleteYep I guess it is shovel season by the front door of moms so we can kill the snakes when we see them. You are a little crazy for holding them. I don't freak out but I don't think I could hold one. By the way tell Dr. Lonney that his home visit worked. Randy pulled out his toenail yesterday.
