laughter is the best medicine
If you ever want a good laugh...hang out with the Robbins family. When we all get together, you never know what is going to be said or what someone is going to do! This past week my mom in law was in the hospital and the Robbins family staked their claim in the waiting room. Not kidding, not only were we packed in that rather small room, but there were those who had loved ones in the ICU that would start to come in and see the "party" and leave to the more open waiting room. With the concern and worry we had over mom, we were able to enjoy each others company and find laughter. There were many times where I had tears in my eyes from the stories that were being told...have Lonney tell you about his Temple experiences, he is a regular Laurel and Hardy! And any story with Turner in it is bound to keep you in stitches. It was wonderful to see the love and support and concern from family, friends, neighbors, and ward members for an amazingly wonderful women. I have seen and heard the cliche of MOTHER IN LAW but that is not the case with me...I love and adore my mom in law...seriously! She gave us all a scare in the Emergency room, it had reminded me of my mom when she had her stokes. What a relief that her memory came back and that she is out of the hospital. We are truly blessed to have her back home. But not only that, we are truly blessed that she is a huge part of our lives.

I think a lack of sleep makes this family a little dilerious. Somethings (like hitting the dog with the door story) everyone thought was so funny and literally had tears coming out of their eyes and I just felt so bad for that poor little thing.
ReplyDeleteNow Lonney's Temple story is a classic!!!
We do have a great family! I am just sad I wasn't able to be there more, darn those kids who can't babysit themselves.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with Tracey, the lack of sleep does make me delerious but that dog story was hilarious!! I am so glad we have the support that we do in this family. If I was down at that hospital that night without my sometimes annoying but funny brothers it would have been awful!!
