Mother's

Every year I have a hard time with Mother's Day. Don't get me wrong, I do love my Mom and Mom-in-law. And hold a special place in my heart for them and all that they have done for me and the amazing examples they have set. What I have a hard time with is having a day set aside saying what a great mom I am when I feel I fall short to those expectations. I feel like I should or could be a better mom. I can't help but think I could so improve in so many area's. I look at my mom and remember how very patient she was with me. How she never raised her voice at me, even when I knew I really deserved it. I feel sorry for my kids that they don't have a mom like I did. However, I am very proud to be a mom and love my kids dearly. I love being around the kids playing and teasing with them. I will always be there on the sidelines cheering them on in whatever sport they are playing, or whichever path they take in life, I will always love them. And maybe that right there makes me a better mom then I give myself credit for.

  1. I am sure if you could see yourself through the eyes of others, especially your children, you would recognize how much they love you and hold you in the highest esteem as a mother and as a truly fun and uplifting friend. Bottom line....you are doing a fantastic job raising your children!

  4. I am glad I am not the only one that feels that way on Mothers Day! Don't get me wrong I love having the day off and watching Randy do things for a change but that is in the back of my mind. You are a wonderful mom and how wonderful your kids are proves that!!!
