cheese wagon

It is a tradition of ours for me to drive the kids to school the first week of Jr. High. This way, they aren't stressed about learning how to open a locker and not in tears for missing the bus. So today, Carli (my baby) boarded the big yellow bus today with a huge smile as you can see. I am actually shocked that she let me take the picture. So as I drove home which is only a street over, I couldn't stop the tears from flowing. I know, I thought the first day of school had drained all the tears I was capable of, apparently not. I called Lonney and he just laughed at me :( hmmm, no surprise there. I feel like it is the first day of school all over again! At least Carli was really excited to ride the bus and was even more excited when she saw her friend there. So if she is happy, I guess I better be happy as well.

  4. Notice she's smiling before she actually gets on the bus and gets a big wiff if bus stank. Just thinking of that smell is making me queasy! Glad she likes riding it though. Wait til High School and the bus will be like the plague! Hehe!
